As we start out on a new church year, we are facing some new challenges. Actually they're not new. Cambridge has faced problems with child care and not meeting budget before. It's just that we tend to forget our past problems once a solution is found so that when they crop up again they appear as new problems. As I stated on Sunday, Luke gives us an account in Acts of how the early church faced many problems die to the rapid growth. Several other major problems would come along, like false teachers, as Satan attempted to derail the growth that was taking place. Those accounts are meant to educate us and to encourage us. Remember we all rely upon the power of the Holy Spirit promised to the disciples (and us) by Jesus. I invite you to join me Wednesdays at 7:00 pm for an indepth look at the Sermon on the Mount. Together we can learn so much from Jesus about coping with difficult times.
Blessing, Pastor Jay Smith
